Wine and Beer of the Week - 5/29 - 6/4

Our Wines of the Week!

Our new wine of the week is
Domaine Cognettes Gros Plant du Pays Nantais Folle de L'Quest
Regularly $14.99/On sale for $10.96

Made by brothers Stephane and Vincent Perraud, this sixth-generation wine property is located just outside of the charming fortress town of Clisson. The Domaine is fully organic (currently converting to Biodynamic) and uses no fertilizers, pesticides or herbicide, and minimal sulfur.  The Folle Blanche grapes (also known as Ugni Blanc) are hand-picked, and vinified using natural wild yeast fermentation, resulting in a light wine of surprising complexity.  This wine is a burst of summer freshness and zippy lime, guaranteed to revive you when you are wilting from the heat.

Still on sale until 6/5/2018 is
Domaine de Fenouillet Vin de Pays de Vaucluse
Regularly $12.99/ On sale for $10.96
This is a delicious Vaucluse from certified organic, traditional, small family producer, Domaine Fenouillet. Our ideal for finding a new WOW is to taste a new wine, be delighted, and then discover it also happens to be a tremendous value. That is exactly what happened with this silky, medium bodied, wine made from Merlot and Marsellan. The Fenouillet Vaucluse has red fruit and as the producer says a hint of "Sous Bois," meaning hints of earthy forest floor in the nose (though it is more fun to say "Sue Bwah!"). It is perfect on it's own, but because it isn't too light or too heavy, is a flexible house dinner wine too!

Beer of the Week!!!!

21st Amendment Watermelon Funk
regularly $13.99/on sale for $11.96
It’s time for another beer upgrade. San Francisco’s 21st Amendment Brewing Company has taken their perennial watermelon wheat ale and given it a taste lift. 2-Row Pale  and White Wheat malts join Magnum hops and fresh watermelon puree for a delicate melon sweetness just like before … but, to shake things up, now there’s a tart edge to counter things, care of lactobacillus. Feel free to feel your funk!
