Switchback Switchback Ale

Regularly $11.99 / Now on Sale for $10.96
American (Reddish Amber) Ale

Back in 2002, brewer Bill Cherry and business guy Jeff Neiblum started Switchback Brewing Company in Burlington, VT with a dream to make complex and accessible beers. That goal, in and of itself, is nothing new. The thing is, they may well have done it. Switchback has, at least, lasted long enough so that in 2017, Cherry was able to convert it to a %100 employee-owned company. So, it’s in every employee’s interest to get you great beer.

Frequently, a brewery’s flagship ale does not stand out — it’s tasty, it’s solid, it’s dependable, but it certainly isn’t the beer that’s going to “wow” you. The Switchback Ale is one of the most successful flagship ales we’ve ever tasted. Take a couple of sips, and let it hit you. The balance on this ale is just right — impressive since Cherry juggles five different malts, an undisclosed amount of hops, and his own special ale yeast strain. He then leaves the beer unfiltered and allows it to carbonate naturally.

This is a beer that should be good anytime, but it especially works if you want something light when fall is in the air.
