Waynesboro Wine Wednesday

In celebration of Virginia Wine Month, this Wednesday’s tasting features two Virginia wineries that are just a morning’s foggy ride over the mountain away — Lightwell Survey and Common Wealth Crush.

Lightwell Survey is winemaker Ben Jordan, restaurateurs Sebastian and Jay Zutant, and design creatives Julian Caustrita and John DeNapoli coming together to make sustainable, natural wines in Virginia. They started in the fall of 2015, partnering with Early Mountain Vineyards in Madison, VA. Now, they’re based in Waynesboro making small batches of “lively reds, dense whites and unique combinations of the two.”

Based in Waynesboro, Common Wealth Crush Company is a small production, small cooperative of wine makers, who – in addition to making their own wines – offer their mentorship and facility to new winemakers. In their own words, “... we founded CWC to help grow the next generation of fellow Virginia winemakers, bringing these minds together under one roof where collaboration and creativity can flow.”

Please join us this Wednesday from 5:00 - 6:30PM to taste some wines from these two unique wineries. These walk-up wine tastings are free. Stop in anytime in the hour and a half.
