Wine Type Is Only Skin Deep
This week, we wander around France for some of our favorite white wines and orange wines.
For the uninitiated, orange wines are wines made from macerated white grapes. Just like with red grapes, the skins of white grapes have tannins and color, they’re just at lower levels than with red grapes. Still, extended skin contact with white skins can give the resultant wine an orange color — hence, “Orange Wines.”
