Another Special Winemaker Tasting!
Crowley Wines is the passion project of Evan Roberts and Tyson Crowley. They’re dedicated to putting out cold climate Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays from Oregon’s Willamette Valley.
Tyson Crowley grew up in New York’s Fingerlakes region and caught the wine bug there. After college, he headed out to the West Coast to work in Willamette Valley wineries. Years later (2005), when working as the assistant winemaker at Cameron Winery, Crowley made the first barrels of his own Pinot Noir. In 2007, he moved his operation to the facilities at August Cellars and launched Crowley Wines. A year later, Evan Roberts met Crowley through a mutual friend. After sampling the Crowley Wines, Roberts signed on to be Crowley’s partner, sales manager, and Oregon ambassador.
Producing only 3,000 cases of wine annually, Crowley pulls grapes from Four Winds Vineyards, which they farm and manage, as well as from trusted growers — all family-owned, dry-farmed, and sustainably farmed. They favor particular clones of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay and high elevation vineyards, both, to ensure a high acid content in their grapes. Why? Why not ask Tyson Crowley yourself?
This Wine Wednesday, we offer another Special Winemaker Tasting!
Tyson Crowley will be here, himself, pouring his wines, and yet, it remains a free, walk-up tasting. Please join us any time between 5:00 and 6:30 PM.
