Jump Mountain Vineyard

In 2006, Mary Hughes and David Vermillion purchased a farm in Rockbridge Baths, VA, next to Jump Mountain. The site had limestone soil, both low humidity and low rainfall, cooling breezes, slopes, and elevation. Two years later, they planted Cabernet Sauvignon on a south-facing slope at 1330 ft above sea level, and thus began their journey in Shenandoah Valley grape growing and winemaking.

This Friday, Mary and David will be here to taste us on some of the bounty of their efforts.
