Lake Garda is famous for reds and rosés made from Corvina, and crisp, salty white wines farmed on the glacial deposits to the south of the lake. Here, Corvina makes light, crisp wines, similar to Gamay and Pinot Noir, but in the nearby town of Valpolicella, Corvina makes some of the boldest and most powerful wines in the world (Amarones).

Lake Garda is a classic lake town, and has a unique cuisine that features meats from the Alpine foothills, fish from the lake, pumpkins, and chestnuts.
